This study explores internal and external sources of ideas that drive new foods development, highlighting the importance of aligning product strategies with consumer needs and market demands. Feedback from sales representatives, consumer engagement, and experimental research serve as key internal sources, providing valuable insights to enhance product features. External sources, including market analysis, competitor monitoring, and participation in trade exhibitions, contribute to the identification of trends and opportunities for innovation. The role of specialized resources such as libraries, databases, and technical literature in supporting strategic planning and research is also emphasized. By integrating these diverse sources with creative thinking and systematic research, companies can generate market-driven product concepts and maintain a competitive edge. The results highlight the importance of a balanced strategy for idea generation to promote effective and sustainable innovations in food product development.
2025-01-13T00:00:00+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/294Sustainability of the anaerobic digestion biogas production system2025-03-14T11:13:40+02:00Alina CRĂCIUN, PhD Candidatealina.craciun@ugal.roAndrei RUSU, PhD Candidateandrei.rusu@ugal.roAdrian Gheorghe ZUGRAVU, Prof. Dr.gheorghe.zugravu@ugal.ro
One of the main environmental problems of today's society is the continuous increase in the amount of organic waste. In many countries, the sustainable management of waste, as well as the prevention of its accumulation and the reduction of its quantity, have become major political priorities. This represents an important contribution to the common efforts to reduce pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and the mitigation of climate change at the global level. The past practices of uncontrolled waste disposal are no longer acceptable today. Even the storage on the garbage platform or the incineration of organic waste are not the best practices, because the protection standards have become much stricter nowadays, and the energy recovery and the recycling of nutrients and organic materials have become a necessary thing.

The production of biogas through anaerobic digestion (AD) is considered to be the optimal treatment in the case of animal waste, as well as in that of a wide variety of organic waste suitable for this purpose, because in this way, the respective substrates are transformed into renewable energy and organic fertilizer for agriculture.
2025-03-14T11:13:40+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/295The impact of continuous connectivity on work-life balance2025-03-14T11:19:39+02:00Ciprian GRIGORESCUcgrigorescu@ugal.roAdrian Gheorghe ZUGRAVUgzuvragu@ugal.roMihai TUDORmihai.tudor@ugal.ro
In today’s organizational environment, work-life balance has become an essential component of motivational management strategies. In an increasingly competitive organizational environment, continuous activity at a sustained pace becomes a certain reality, especially in the context where ensuring the balance between professional and personal life becomes a major challenge for motivational management.

This paper is an analysis of the impact of continuous activity and extended work hours on employee motivation and satisfaction, but also how organizations can support this balance through various means of rewards. Work stress, well-being, zest for life, burnout, etc., are just a few of the terms introduced into the current vocabulary of employees in recent times.

The perception of this fine balance between professional and personal life is individual, depending on expectations, motivation, the employee’s psychological profile, social factors or family climate.

This balance of private life versus professional life has a major influence on the well-being and performance of the team, and its imbalance can lead to decreased productivity through employee burnout and the appearance of mental health problems or physical exhaustion.
2025-03-14T11:19:39+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/296Sorghum - A safe agricultural crop in Europe2025-03-14T11:29:13+02:00Carmen GURCU-LAZĂRcgurcu@ugal.roConstanța Laura ZUGRAVUczugravu@ugal.roSilvia MISTRIANUsmistrianu@ugal.ro
Sorghum has a high biological and agricultural potential, which is why it is grown by many farmers, especially in Europe. Sorghum is the fifth most cultivated cereal in the world, after wheat, rice, corn and barley. It is a cereal with a chemical composition similar to cereals grown in our country, especially corn. This crop must be reconsidered as a cereal with great potential to be used for human consumption, not only for animal feed. Sorghum is adapted to a wide range of environmental conditions and can produce significant yields under conditions that are unfavourable for most other cereals. This adaptability can help farmers in Romania respond to changing climate conditions. Sorghum can become a substitute for maize.
2025-03-14T11:27:03+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/297Educational management strategy for the transition to the circular economy in rural areas2025-03-14T11:33:07+02:00Angelica MUȘATamusat@ugal.roConstanța Laura ZUGRAVUczugravu@ugal.roAdrian Gheorghe ZUGRAVUazugravu@ugal.ro
The study highlights the need for capacity-building initiatives tailored to rural communities, including curriculum development, skill enhancement, and awareness campaigns, that align with the principles of waste minimization, resource efficiency, and regenerative practices. It emphasizes the role of local educational institutions, vocational training centers, and community-led initiatives in driving this transition. Key strategies include leveraging participatory approaches to foster stakeholder engagement, integrating traditional knowledge with innovative practices, and building networks for knowledge exchange. This paper offers practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and community leaders to create a holistic framework that supports sustainable transformation at the grassroots level.
2025-03-14T11:33:07+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/298The role of national and international legislation in advancing solar energy for sustainable rural development2025-03-14T21:05:26+02:00Tatiana CHIRILtatiana.chiril@ugal.ro
This paper critically examines the legislative frameworks supporting solar energy as a sustainable solution for rural regions. The analysis contrasts the policies and regulatory approaches of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, shaped by European Union directives and other international standards, in fostering renewable energy infrastructure. By underscoring key legislative elements unique to each country, the study assesses the regulatory impact on investment accessibility and operational efficiency in solar energy production, including acceptable error margins. The paper comprehensively evaluates the legislative benefits and constraints, proposing targeted improvements to encourage sustainable rural development through solar energy adoption.
2025-03-14T11:39:56+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://across.ugal.ro/index.php/across/article/view/302The Market of Ecological Wine Products. A Literature Review2025-03-20T11:26:08+02:00Cosmina Ionela VASILACHEcvasilache@ugal.roGheorghe Adrian ZUGRAVUgugravu@ugal.ro
In recent decades, the organic wine market has seen significant growth due to the rising interest in sustainable and environmentally friendly products. This paper analyzes the evolution of the organic wine market, consumption trends, consumer preferences, and challenges faced by producers based on a thorough review of the relevant literature. Since the 1970s, organic viticulture has developed as an agricultural method promoting environmental protection and human health by avoiding synthetic chemical use. Europe, one of the largest wine producers, has implemented policies and regulations supporting this type of production, including through the European Green Deal.
2025-03-20T11:26:08+02:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
